Message from the Founders- June 2020

To the ConnectFor Community,

We hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy. Although the lockdown has been eased in several parts of the country, the grey clouds of the COVID still hang above our heads. It’s now more than essential to maintain social distance in public spaces and strictly limit outings as much as we can. The coming times will be revolutionary, and we believe that the best way to accept responsibility for the future will be to commit our own time and energy to the social sector by helping the needy.

With the successful execution of our Virtual Volunteering Programme, we organized knowledge sessions, webinars & round table discussions to raise awareness on this alternate style of volunteering along with other topics to help capacity build our NGO partners. In the last couple of weeks, we have had speakers from the corporate and social sectors sharing their experiences and their challenges of working in the development space during these uncertain times.

These sessions were quite successful and helped in understanding the ground realities of the situation, devising new strategies for existing programmes and managing recurring problems.

We truly believe that with our pool of motivating volunteers, adapting NGOs and promising Corporates, we will be able to deliver new virtual volunteering projects and develop new partnerships to build a virtual ecosystem that will be self-sustainable.
